“Talented First, I want to say I really am lucky to be given a copy of such a nice, REALLY nice story! So this deserved to be told and shared. :)The story is set in the future, Earth in chaos and the world is under nuclear contamination. Due to this, children with abnormalities are born. They are the Talented. With special skills as Mind manipulators, telekinetics, or morphers. They are especially trained to master their skills and abilities to make good use of their difference among normal children for the government.Talia is among them. She's a mind manipulator. She trains to be a Hunter. To kill who have killed her parents before her eyes. It is an action-packed adventure, with a touch of romance in it. They are like soldiers who serve and protect the government, under an agency they call Toxic. However, should they rather protect themselves because there surely is something going they are not aware of or they continue to blindly follow what they are trained and ordered for? Also, whom Tal has real feelings for?The characters are nicely rounded, Natalia, is strong physically and emotionally. I liked that she is not proud and know when she needed the help of others and that she can balance her emotions and task at hand.Penny with her bright and bubbly personality! I was very thankful she was in the story or it could have been all that serious. Penny is Talia's other outlet and sole girl friend. Also, the father-like Henri. Who reminds her about curfews and who guides her during training.Of course, Erik. :) her strong, nice, sweet, and caring team/cabin mate.Let us also not leave, DONOVAN. The cheating bastard. Really, I am not his fan. :3 I could tell from the beginning there is something off with him. And sure there is!The ending? I liked it less that it is that cliffy. HMMMP. Also, because I cannot give a SPOILER IN HERE, I mean the epilogue should at least help but.. Well. Plus, the fact that I do not have the second book to read right away ughhh. U.UAll in all, this is a good book and nice nice start for a series! ^_^Recommended to those who have the second book :D and who are okay with cliffhangers. I'm rating it 4.5 fairy wings!~Sunburst Fairy” - Sunburst Fairy

“Talented I am HOOKED!!Looks are deceiving, this story is jam packed with emotionally gut wrenching secrets, deep seeded rage and revenge, non-stop action and adventure and a little love woven into the mix. It was easy to get caught up in Talia’s life and connect with all the other characters in the book. X-Men with a feminine twist! If you want a great YA dystopian genre with a unique flare, this is the one for you! ” - Aimee Dennis

“Talented I LOVED this book and could NOT put the book down from the moment I started reading!! The writing of this story flowed very well and was written very clearly. The story smoothly switches back and forth from Talia training to become a Hunter, to her struggle of dealing with the motions of being a teenager. I found it very unique how the author includes a dystopian (Talia and her Talents), and contemporary plot (Talia’s relationships with those she was closest to, and dealing with what happened to her family). This is one of the reasons why I loved this book so much, because it had elements from contemporary and dystopian novels. I don’t know if that was done on purpose, but that is what drew me in and made me want to read more of the story. The author has a very interesting way of describing how the characters are feeling. You are able to visualize how the characters feel. I was also hooked because I was able to relate to certain aspects of Talia’s personality and I felt that I understood what she was going through. I think that many people could relate to at least one character in the story. I would absolutely recommend this book for those who enjoy both dystopian (action, suspense) and contemporary (romance, relatable themes) genres. I look forward to reading the next book in the series!! Please check out this book!!!” - Jaclyn

“Talented This series quickly became one of may favorite! This series is a cross between 007 and Vampire Academy. It takes place in a dystopia atmosphere. After the world was poisoned by radio active material, people started experiencing different talents. I found this series extremely creative and I have not read anything similar to this!Talia the main character is kick ass! She is strong, a little naïve, loyal and very loving. Her parents were killed and her main focus in the first book is revenge. That alone would be a pretty good story but the author takes it sooooo much further in this series. I read the books pretty quickly because I wanted to see how they ended! I was not let down with the ending of the fourth book but then I found out that her story continues and I got sooooo excited! You need to read this series pronto! It was fabulous! This book is considered young-adult, paranormal romance, and dystopia.AND...OMG the covers are beautiful! If you have not checked out Sophia Davis's website be sure that you do because I love the way she designed it! ” - Tara Zormier

“Talented Going into Talented I really didn't have any idea what it was about but I soon figured it out and was completely wrapped up in it. The concept is like nothing I've ever read. It's like an awesome dystopian world plus superheroes in it or in this case the 'Talented'. The story follows the main character Talia who is training to become a Hunter but not for the reasons most people would-she wants revenge and becoming a Hunter is the only way she can think of getting it. I though this was so interesting to read about and I never wanted to stop reading. There was so much action, romance an awesome futuristic setting and small hints at rebellion.Talia was an amazing heroine. She knew what she wanted and didn't stop until she got it. Even when horrible things (or people yes you know who I'm talking about) got in her way it just made her work even harder. Donovan really annoyed the crap out of me. Sure him and Talia were cute at the beginning but I thought he was pushy and it seemed to me all he wanted to do was argue and he was very possessive of Talia. I just didn't like him. On the other hand Erik-one of her trainers-I loved from the beginning. He was funny and sweet and I could totally tell that he liked Talia. I was waiting (hoping) for her to ditch Donovan and be with Erik as mean as that sounds. I'm not going to say if I got what I wanted or not but I will say that some very crazy stuff happened and some things changed. Her other trainer Henri was hilarious. I adored him. Her best friend Penny was awesome. She was there when Talia really needed her and I loved her hair. Can she be my best friend? (Sorry Jasmine you just don't have bright red hair)Whenever Talia got one of her assignments it was always so fast paced and action packed. Especially the last one. I totally didn't see it coming and I rushed through it until it was over. All in all I thought this was a kick-butt dystopian that I would highly recommend. I loved every page of it. I need to know what happens next for these characters. Especially Erik :) I'm also hoping for more world building. There's so much to expand on. I can't wait to read the sequel.5/5 stars” - Marissa

“Caged I loved Talented. This was even better. The end of Talented left me pining for more. This series has an amazing concept with an even more amazing set of characters. I read this in like a day. It was impossible to put down. Now I'm sad its over and am impatiently waiting for the next book. Talia is such a cool main character. I love how real she is. She handles everything like an other teenage girl would. When she considered taking Donavon back I wanted to shake her. He bothers me so very much. Sure he has his sweet moments but he also has his jerk moments. There's more jerk moments than sweet. I absolutely adore Erik. He cracks me up. His personality is hilarious but hes also very sweet and loving. Talia and Erik were probably my favorite part. They were seriously adorable. I was really surprised who the spy was. That was hidden incredibly well. I had no idea. I was shocked. I am gonna miss that character though. I'm not sure if they will be in the next book or not. I'm also doubting what side some of the characters are on. Who's good and who's bad. I hope we find out more about that in the third book. The plot was a little slow at times. It wasn't as fast paced but all the twists made up for it. Overall I loved this. It was so so so good. I cant wait for the third one to come out. I highly recommend this series. Its becoming one of my favorites. 5/5 stars” - Jasmine Villanova

“Caged So I love Sophie Davis and Caged is another reason why. I love her writing style and I love how detailed she makes everything. I did find Caged a bit slower than Talented but I realize that t was to give us backstory and I was still at the edge of my seat. I loved finding out the secrets right along with Talia. I did guess who the spy was and I kind of figured out the bad guy at the end but that didn't make it any less exciting or shocking when I got to those parts. I feel like a lot more of the characters are showing their true colours. Donavan is still a butt head (hello, I need to know why he did what he did), Mac is turning into a big douche bag (power is going to his head) and Erik is getting sexier everyday. Talia just needs to get her crap together and stop feeling bad for herself. I just love this series and everything about it. The writing is so amazing and the story is addicting. I can't wait to delve into book three.” - Justine

“Caged Natalia's story is incredible. I just keep delving deeper and deeper into this world of mystery and mayhem. Mayhem with a sugary sweet cover, but still Mayhem nonetheless. Talia is diving deeper and deeper into the Toxic world, and with each day arise more and more questions. Donovan and Natalia find themselves thrown back together, and I was happy to see them find some semblence of peace. Deep emotions are likely to last for quite a while, but it was nice see Talia finally discover her own desires and make a choice of her own. Since this installments takes us back to the School we are introduced to many new characters. Rest assured the best are still here, but some of these new characters will prove very valuable. I can not wait to see what the next installment will be. The promise of discovery is on the horizon, and I can't wait for the answers to be unveiled. It seems there is a tornado coming, and Natalia just might be the storm that ends up causing it.” - Jax

“Caged You know those books, where after you finish them, you just stare at the wall, and contemplate what you just read? Yeah, this book would DEFINITELY fall under that category. Sophie Davis once again does not disappoint in this sequel to Talented. She (author) continues to write the story in such a way that you can easily visualize everything that goes on (ESPECIALLY the characters feelings). This doesn't reveal any spoilers, but I liked how the author recalls events from the first book, instead of making readers pause and think about previous events. This book at first, is a little slow, but I think it was done to build up the suspense. Yes, there is much more suspense in this book, more so than the first, with a smattering of contemporary themes. You will see characters being tested both emotionally and physically throughout this novel. This book is filled with drama, romance, betrayal, and suspense and I absolutely recommend this book to anyone, especially those who of course enjoyed Talented.” - Jaclyn

“Hunted Well crap! Mac is not a good man. Thank God that Talia catches on and stops being in denial. Mac makes Talia help test the five year old children when they come in to be evaluated. She really opens her eyes when confronted with the abuse the children are subjected to. Then, to make it worse, Mac has decided to make Talia and Erik go after kids that are suspected of having a talent, but weren't brought in for testing. Ahhhh, this is going to be Mac's downfall. Talia may be willing to make exceptions for Mac, but she will not stand on the side lines after realizing that Donovan doesn't even trust his Dad. This book is full of surprises! If you are an adult, you can probably see them coming, but you know what? It does not change how good this story is. If you don't like being able to figure stuff out, then don't read young-adult novels! (Sorry, I started to rant) Sophie Davis is not done with the twists and turns and I can't wait to see what else she has in store for Talia and Erik!” - Tara Zormier
